What Is a Crane System in a PEB Building?
A crane system is the steel structure inside a building that carries an overhead crane. It includes crane columns or brackets, runway beams (also called gantry girders), rails, lateral ties, end stoppers and, where needed, walkways for maintenance.
A normal shed is built only for roof, wind and light loads. A crane adds much more. It puts heavy wheel loads on the beams, pushes sideways when it starts or stops, and creates vibration. If the building is not designed for this, you can face cracked joints, bent beams, worn wheels and unsafe lifting.
This is why we design a crane integrated PEB from the start. The main frame, columns and foundation are checked for crane loads in the same design, not fixed later. The result is a safer, longer-lasting building.

HEAVY DUTYTop Running Crane System
The crane travels on rails placed on top of runway beams. It is the strongest option and suits heavy loads, wide spans and daily use. This is the most common choice for an EOT crane system for PEB buildings such as steel plants, engineering works and heavy fabrication units.
SPACE SAVINGUnderhung Crane System
The crane hangs from the bottom flange of the beam. It saves floor space and works well for light to medium loads. It is a good fit for assembly lines, workshops and packing areas where columns should not block the floor.
SINGLE POINTJib Crane System
A jib crane has a rotating arm fixed to a column or a floor stand. It serves one work area, such as a machine, a welding bay or a loading point. It is simple, quick to use and easy to install.
